October 2010

Madi turned 2 on 10/13! I can't believe it, she is growing up so fast, and is such a little girl. She is talking constantly now, saying new things everyday! We had a great time celebrating her birthday with family. We also went on a beach trip this month, had some new professional pics taken, and went to a pumpkin farm! So this is a mix of pictures from ALL those events. Halloween pictures will be soon to follow after next weekend...Madi will be Minnie Mouse!!

Recent things

We've had a great summer and are sad to have to go back to work! We had some great times though. I've posted a few random pictures from the summer...Rochester, Madi painting, Madi cooking, and Jordan Lake.

Since Kristen started the facebook thing she doesn't update the blog anymore. Madi is looking more and more like a kid and less like a baby. Still cute though. Enjoy

Easter

A long overdue post from Easter. We had a great time with Grammi and Grandpa Johnson! Madi had alot of fun looking for her eggs. We got a sprinkler for her to play in because it was such a hot weekend. She had a great time with everyone!! Madi also recently had her 18 month checkup. All is well and she's growing fast. She now weighs 28lbs and 33 inches tall. Above the 90th%ile for both, but she's very proportioned!

Wow it's been a long time

I can't believe it's been so long since we've posted. As Madilyn gets older it seems more and more difficult to keep up with the updates! She is now 17 months old, and definitely has her own little personality. She's a nice mix of Ryan and me...she has her dad's go with the flow-I'm gonna do my own thing and don't care what anybody else thinks personality, and sits back and quietly observes others like her mom (oh and she may also have some of her mother's impatience at times and perfectionistic tendencies). Example- if something is out of place, Madi notices immediately and fixes it.

We are just having so much fun with her. She is trying to imitate words we say...her language is really starting to develop. And, she absolutely loves to go outside. Good thing we live in NC and the weather is usually nice! She heads for the door sometimes right after she gets up in the morning. I am so excited for the summer so I can spend more time with her. It's still so hard leaving her and going to work everyday..I don't want to miss anything!
