Snow Day!

Wow! We currently have over 5 inches of snow! That's alot for NC. Today was actually supposed to be my first day back at work, but because of the snow I get another day with Madi, yea! The big hill behind our house is finally being used for something- there are at least 8-10 kids outside sledding!

3 Months Old

This past Tuesday, Madilyn turned 3 months old. I cannot believe how fast she is growing up. I've always heard other people say, 'kids grow up so fast.' But, again, I didn't truly understand that until having my own baby. I'll be going back to work on Tuesday and am very sad about that. I don't want to miss anything with Madilyn because she is literally changing every day. Here is a little comparison of a picture taken the other day, and a picture taken shortly after she was born.

Time with daddy

Madilyn loves playing with her daddy. She smiles, laughs, and as of yesterday makes 'raspberries.' It's very cute.

2 month appointment

With the busy holidays, I forgot to post info about Madilyn's 2 month Dr. appointment. She got her first shots, which was not fun at all of course. Heartbreaking because we've never heard her cry quite like that. On to the good news...Madilyn weighed in at 13lbs 4 oz which is in the 95%ile for her age. She was 24 3/4 inches long (97th) and her head was 16 inches (90th). The doctor told us she was more like the size of a 4 month old!! We couldn't believe it. We're so happy that she is a happy and very healthy girl!

Jamestown and Buffalo

On the way up to Rochester, we stopped in Jamestown so we could see Aunt Sandy, Uncle Roger, Carly, Abby, and Ryan. We had so much fun at their house, we didn't want to leave so soon! We also stopped in Buffalo to visit Jessica and Ron. Again, we really wish we could have stayed longer. Next trip up, we promise we will!!

We made the trip up to Rochester! We had a great time with everyone- Madi got to meet her Aunt Amy, Uncle Scott, and cousin Nolan for the first time. She also got to meet great Aunt Bonnie. The long car ride was challenging, but overall Madi did great and slept most of the time. We're glad we made the trip, it was definitely worth it. Madi also got to see snow for the first time!

1st Christmas

We had a great time with Madi on Christmas. Of course we had to get her some presents, even though she wouldn't be opening them! It was also the first Christmas in our new house, so we were pretty excited. Next year Madi will be able to open her own presents, but this year Ryan and I had lots of fun doing it for her!
